This weekend sees the first Scottish Cup final between the Edinburgh clubs in over a century.
In honour of the occasion we're doing this week's SPL trivia about the foreign players who have scored both in the derby and the English Premiership.
There are nine players from outwith Scotland who have managed the feat, and they have each had a varying impact on the teams at Hearts and Hibs. Some were heroes to the supporters, others made only fleeting appearances on nomadic footballing careers. So, who are the nine?
Roman Bednar (6 goals for West Brom in 2008/09) The Czech striker was something of a cult figure at Tynecastle, and scored as Hearts went down to a 2-1 defeat in April 2006. He scored six goals for West Brom in the Premiership.
Ulises de la Cruz (1 goal for Aston Villa in 2002/03, 1 goal for Reading in 2006/07) The Ecuadoran is the only player on the list to have scored for two different sides in the Premiership, getting goals for both Aston Villa and Reading. He scored both goals for Hibernian in a 2-1 win in October 2001.
Stephen Elliot (2 goals for Sunderland in 2005/06) Elliot has the distinction of scoring in both an Edinburgh derby and a Tyne/Tees derby. The Irishman scored in back-to-back games for Sunderland in defeats to Manchester United and Newcastle United. He's scored twice for Hearts against Hibernian, in a 2-0 win in November 2010 and in a 2-2 draw in April 2011.

Anthony Stokes (1 goal for Sunderland in 2007/08) The Irish striker has been hugely prolific in Scotland but was never offered quite the same opportunity south of the Border. He did, however, manage one goal. He scored the winner after being introduced as a late sub in a 1-0 win over Derby. He also scored twice for Hibernian against their city rivals; a 2-1 defeat in May 2010 and a 1-1 draw in January 2010.
