Eusebio Sacristan was the industrious midfielder who won the European Cup with Barcelona in 1992.

Making his debut for Valladolid in 1983, Eusebio won the Spanish League Cup in 1983/84 by defeating Atletico Madrid. He would make well over 100 appearances for the Pucela, and make his debut for Spain against Greece in 1986, before moving to Atletico in 1987.

A single season at Vicente Calderon earned him a move to Barcelona, where he stayed from 1988 until 1995. In his first season Barcelona won the Cup Winners' Cup against Sampdoria, and followed that with a Spanish Cup win in 1990 and four consecutive La Liga titles between 1991 and 1994.

In 1992 he became a Medallion Man by winning the European Cup, again against Sampdoria, as Ronald Koeman's goal won the last title before the start of the Champions League.

Further spells at Celta Vigo, and an indian summer with his first club, Valladolid, followed before he took up the assistant manager role at Barcelona. He was capped 15 times for his country.
