STV Live App for transfer window

The STV Live App,  which enables viewers to interact live with STV's reporters and presenters in real time on their mobiles and tablets, is being made available on an experimental basis for the final stages of the transfer window.

The App, which is already worked into Scottish Passport and Dancing on Ice, will be open from around 5.30 pm on January 31 until the window closes. As well as the mobile and tablet versions, it will now also be accessible on PCs and Macs at live.stv.tv.

A version of STV Live was first used as prototype during The Football Years programmes and STV'Sports Centre programme in the spring of 2011, allowing viewers to interact with programmes and enjoy a "two-screen" experience. Further refinement, in conjunction with development partners Lumi Technologies saw it relaunched for I'm a Celebrity last November.

Those who have already registered will be able to access the App from whatever direction they choose. There will be regular updates and users will be able to interact with the STV Sports team as the window draws to a close. Unlike, programme related use, there will be no prizes on offer during the Transfer Window.

stv.tv editor Robert Dawson Scott said, "STV Live was a big hit with audiences around I'm a Celebrity. We're continually refining it as we find what users enjoy about it and now we want to roill it out to new groups."

New and old users will have to RE-REGISTER their details.

New users can either visit the App store or the Android marketplace, depending on what kind of device they have, or they can register for the App right here.
