Holland coach Bert van Marwijk is looking to build on World Cup success and go one step further at Euro 2012SNS Group

Euro 2012 delivered on opening night with two terrific matches and now it’s down to Holland, Denmark, Germany and Portugal to live up to their billing.

Bert van Marwijk says he doesn’t expect any surprises from the Danes, but surprises tend to be unexpected.

Robert Lewandowski, scorer of the tournament’s opening goal, has been linked with Manchester United by his coach but opted not to go down the Paul Ince route of wearing the shirt before he has signed, instead talking down the rumours.

After it was made clear that, for football reasons, he is behind not only Martin Kelly but Danny Kelly, Matthew Kelly and Kelly Brook in Roy Hodgson’s thoughts, Rio Ferdinand has admitted that his England career “may be over”.
