Cesc Fabregas will start for Spain in the Euro 2012 final after coach Vicente Del Bosque again elected to play a strikerless formation against Italy.

The Barcelona midfielder will feature with David Silva and Andres Iniesta as part of an attacking three. Xavi, Xabi Alonso and Sergio Busquets will also start in midfield.

At the back, Alvaro Arbeloa and Jordi Alba will play in the full-back positions with Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique in the middle.

Iker Casillas will win his 137th cap for La Roja, captaining the side in their third successive major tournament final.

Spain are aiming to become the first nation to win three major international tournaments back to back, having won the European Championships in 2008 and the World Cup two years ago.
