France defeated Ukraine 2-0 in Donetsk in a Group D match that was delayed for 55 minutes after a flash storm
France took the lead on 52 minutes when Jeremy Menez, who had been presented with several chances during the game, slipped the ball past Andriy Pyatov.
Yohan Cabaye doubled France's lead minutes later, latching on to a Karim Benzema pass before a low shot into the corner of the net.
