Sevilla went to the top of Champions League group G with a 2-0 win over Unirea.
The Romanian side flooded the defence but couldn’t stop the Spaniards taking the lead late into first half stoppage time through Luis Fabiano.
Renato doubled the lead on 70 minutes to secure a win over the Champions League new-boys.
Sevilla had only lost one home game in 42 European matches heading into the match and Unirea knew they were in for a tough test.
They almost conceded early on when Frederic Kanoute's 25-yard shot produced a block from Ersin Mehmedovic.
Unirea had their chances too, notably when Luis Fabiano's 25-yard free-kick forced Arlauskis into action on 26 minutes.
The win puts Sevilla two points clear ahead of Rangers, who fought for a 1-1 draw in Stuttgart’s VfB Arena.
