Dundee forward Leigh Griffiths and Celtic defender Jason Marr have been added to the Scotland U21 squad for their away Euro qualifier in Azerbaijan on November 14.

Former Livingston hitman Griffiths - who has a B cap and scored in his team's 2-1 defeat to Rangers in the Co-operative Cup recently - replaces suspended Dundee United player David Goodwillie in the squad. Marr returns to the team after injury ruled him out of Scotland's last fixture, a 1-0 home win against Belarus in October.

Billy Stark's young Scots are currently third in their qualifying group for the 2011 European U21 Championship, level with both top placed Austria and second placed Belarus on nine points after four games.

Their opponents Azerbaijan are propping up the group, with three defeats in their three fixtures so far. The return match between the two teams is on March 3 2010.

Scotland then travel to Belarus on September 4 before ending with what looks like being a crucial home tie against Austria on September 7.

Forwards
