Sone Aluko faces a lengthy spell out after suffering a stomach strain. The Aberdeen winger will miss the Motherwell game later this month, according to manager Mark McGhee.
Aluko had to leave the pitch in the first half of the 2-1 win over St Johnstone at Pittodrie. He went to ground following an innocuous looking challenge from Dave MacKay.
McGhee said: "Sone has a stomach strain - which we don't know exactly yet the level of.
"Certainly, he won't be training for a couple of weeks. I'd imagine he'd miss the Motherwell game; I've no idea beyond that.
"It needs to be scanned and it needs to settle down a bit."
The 20-year-old Nigerian international had scored a brilliant opening goal before his injury.
McGhee added: "He started to look the part again. His goal was absolutely fantastic.
"If he's now going to be out the team, it's a setback for us all."
