Falkirk hope to have a new face on their bench for tomorrow’s trip to Easter Road to face former boss John Hughes’ Hibs. French-Algerian midfielder Toufik Zerara, formerly of Sochaux, Belgian club Germinal Beerschot and UAE based side Al Dhafra, is awaiting international clearance for a move to the SPL strugglers.
Alex MacDonald should be fit for Eddie May’s team, but Sean Lynch, Mark Stewart, Jackie McNamara, Kjartan Finnbogason, Burton O`Brien and Tam Scobbie are all on a lengthy injury list.
For hosts Hibernian, Kevin McBride is rated as 50-50 to feature as he battles to overcome an ankle injury.
McBride limped off after just 17 minutes of last weekend’s draw at St Mirren and is Hibs’ only ever-present player in the league this season.
Merouane Zemmama and Sol Bamba are both expected to feature despite troublesome respective groin and knee injurys. Kevin McCann (hamstring) will definitely miss out.
Hibs could go top of the SPL if results go their way and they enjoy a five goal swing over current leaders Rangers. Falkirk meanwhile could lift themselves off the bottom of the table with as little as a point, sitting one point behind both Kilmarnock and Hamilton and two off Hearts.
Provisional Hibs squad: Stack, Ma-Kalambay, Murray, Hogg, Bamba, Hanlon, Miller, Cregg, McBride, Rankin, Stokes, Riordan, Flynn, Zemmama, Byrne, Stevenson, Galbraith, Wotherspoon, McCormack, Nish, Benjelloun.
Provisional Falkirk squad: Olejnik, Allison, Mitchell, Barr, McLean, Arfield, Lima, Flynn, Marceta, Finnigan, Moutinho, Pele, Murdoch, Bullen, Twaddle, Zerara, Bloom, Wagenaar.
