Scott Arfield was relieved when the transfer window closed so he could concentrate on keeping Falkirk in the top flight.
The midfielder was again the subject of speculation towards the end of January with clubs such as Southampton and Huddersfield reported to have made enquiries. But the Scotland Under-21 international was unaware of any interest and was glad the window closing brought the conjecture to an end.
"It's more a relief than anything that it's shut," said Arfield. "If it's going to happen, its going to happen but I would rather not even talk about it until it did."
He added: "I'm all right with it, it's my family who are always asking what's happening.
"My mum is up to high doe (worked up) every transfer window that comes about.
"I'm relieved it's finished and I'm still here, and I'm still delighted to be here.
"I wasn't really thinking about going anywhere anyway. The focus has been making sure Falkirk got off the bottom of the league.
"It's up to us to make sure we stay off the bottom."
