Hearts are looking to make it three victories in a row when Jim Jefferies’ men travel to Tannadice to take on Dundee United and claw their way back up the table.
The Jambos have been plagued by injuries and suspensions and could be without up to 15 players for today’s match.
Eggert Jonsson and Laryea Kingston are suspended while Ismael Bouzid, and Suso Santana could play but Dawid Kucharski and Christian Nade are doubts.
Following last weekend’s 1-0 victory over Aberdeen – where Hearts were reduced to 10 men – Jefferies believes his side can secure their place in the top half of the SPL come split time if they can secure two more wins.
Dundee United meanwhile are sitting comfortably in fourth position, two points behind third placed Hibernian and eight points above Hearts. They have had a mixed bag of results in the past few months but are coming off the back of a 3-0 victory over Falkirk and will hope to keep up the momentum.
Dundee United's Francisco Sandaza could make his first appearance of the season since undergoing hernia surgery. Andy Webster is fit, Keith Watson returns from a loan spell at East Fife while Lee Wilkie, Danny Cadamarteri and Scott Robertson are all out.
