Scotland outcast Steven Fletcher has revealed he would play for the national side if Craig Levein asked him back.
The £14m striker, who has settled into goal-scoring form at new club Sunderland, has not featured for the national side since telling manager Levein that he did not want to play for Scotland in a friendly against Northern Ireland last February.
Fletcher informed the Scotland boss that he did not want to play by text message. Levein claimed at first he would still consider the former Hibs and Wolves forward, before later confirming that the snub had cost Fletcher his place in the squad.

The 25-year-old revealed he would play for Scotland again in an exchange with a fan on social networking site Twitter over the weekend.
Fletcher was asked : "Would you pull on your Scotland jersey next month if Craig Levein asked you to come back?" to which the striker responded "yes."
It is not the first time recently that the forward has taken to Twitter to make revelations about his career.
His move to the Stadium of Light from Wolves was one of the summer’s most protracted transfer sagas, which came to a head when Fletcher took to the site to reveal he had handed in a request to move, with the hashtag "#headsgone".
