Victor Wanyama has dismissed as "rumours" reports he could be subject to a January bid from Manchester United.
The Celtic midfielder, signed from Beerschot AC in summer 2011, is a key figure in Neil Lennon's side and played a pivotal role in the recent Champions League group stage win at Spartak Moscow.
Wanyama is currently in discussions over improving his deal at Parkhead, which currently runs until 2015.
Reports at the weekend claimed he is reportedly interesting Sir Alex Ferguson, with scouts sent to Scotland to monitor the Kenyan's progress.
"I have heard a lot about my intended move to several clubs, the latest being Manchester United," Wanyama told supersport.com.
"Personally I just think those are rumours. My focus now remains with my team Celtic, whom I want to help in both the domestic and Champions League."
"Leaving Celtic will not be easy. They cannot just let me go [as] easily as many people think.
"All in all am happy here and looking forward to continue playing for them as I work hard in my career."
