Doonhamers hold Ross
Kevin Holt missed a gilt-edged chance for Queen of the South but the bottom side held leaders Ross County 0-0.
In a first half of few chances, it was the hosts who came closest to scoring, with Holt somehow heading Nicky Clark's corner over the bar from close range.
Minutes later, a Tom Brighton header was saved by County goalkeeper Michael Fraser.
Clark tested Fraser 10 minutes into the second half, but the shot was well saved.
The visitors threatened in the second half, Michael Gardyne drilling wide from 12 yards, and Steven Craig forced a save from Queen of the South's Lee Robinson.
Grant Munro almost grabbed a winner three minutes from time but Robinson was alert and denied him.
