Forfar produced a shock result to upset leaders Cowdenbeath 1-0 and move off the bottom of the Second Division.
Mark Ramsay almost put the Blue Brazil ahead after six minutes but his curling effort was tipped wide by Marc McCallum, while Nicky Low hit a post for the home side in the 20th minute.
But Low made no mistake on the stroke of half-time when Bradley Coyne crossed for him to fire a left-footed shot low past Thomas Flynn.
Cowdenbeath, who had not been beaten in the league since October, bombarded the Forfar goal in the second half but found McCallum in fine fettle.
The goalkeeper, on loan from Dundee, first pushed Marc McKenzie's effort wide before denying Greg Stewart from close range.
