Partick Thistle is set to unveil a new shirt sponsor next week after previous backer macb went into administration.
The deal, thought to be with a legal firm, will be announced on Monday.
STV understands the sponsorship is until the end of the current campaign and could be similar, financially, to this season’s deal between the Jags and the drinks firm.
The news will no doubt be welcomed by Thistle supporters who were worried following the macb news, combined with the departure from Firhill next season of the Glasgow Warriors.
In January, Sangs - the parent company of macb - were forced into administration.
Last week, Thistle confirmed the end of their sponsorship agreement after discussions with the administrators.
Macb and the Firhill club had initially signed a three-year deal last summer, thought to be worth around £50,000 a season.
In a recent interview with STV, Thistle chairman David Beattie said tackling the club’s financial issues will be very challenging and stated his, and the board’s, ambitions to make The Jags a sustainable business.
