Tommy Wright hopes his appointment as Northern Ireland’s goalkeeping coach will be of benefit to both him and St Johnstone.
The Saints assistant boss will join Michael O’Neill’s backroom staff and will also work alongside current Fulham coach Billy McKinlay.
"Hopefully we will be able to tap into Billy McKinlay, who is coming in as assistant manager, and maybe get links with Fulham," said Wright.
"Hopefully we might get a few players from there.
"It gives me more expereience as well and opens up, hopefully, some more avenues that maybe the club can exploit as well."
As well as benefitting St Johnstone, Wright says his involvement in two jobs will also help his own development.
"I am fortunate I do the goalkeeping side but hopefully Michael [O'Neill] will involve me in team preparation as well.
"It is something I am looking forward to and something that can only help me in the long run".
