Neil Lennon says the club will appeal against referee Steven McLean’s call to send off defender Daniel Majstorovic.
The Swedish international was shown a straight red card just before the hour mark as the Hoops beat Inverness CT 1-0 at Celtic Park.
Majstorovic was adjudged to have fouled Johnny Hayes but Lennon believes the official made the wrong decision.
Joe Ledley’s goal extended the club’s domestic winning run to seventeen games but afterwards Lennon signalled his intention to appeal the red card.
He said: "I am going to speak to the club about it and see if there is grounds for appeal," he said.
"I thought he got the ball. How the linesman could give it is beyond me and there were some very inconsistent decisions out there today.
"I think both sets of coaching staff were unhappy with the performance today.
"But I don't think the referee got much help from either of his linesmen.
"We were told that the linesman gave it, whether I am wrong on that I don't know.
"I have seen it on the television and it is pretty inconclusive but it looked to me that Daniel got the ball, you see the way the ball moves.
"It is very debatable decision that has gone against us.
"You (media) have been making a lot of the decisions that have gone for us in the last couple of weeks, it will be interesting to see the reports on that one."
Hayes spoke of his sympathy for Majstorovic.
He said: "I just said to him he was unlucky to be sent off.
"My immediate reaction was to get up and get back in shape. It's hard to tackle without contact.
"I thought he got the ball but I'm not sure what the cameras will show.
"We have had those decisions go against us a few times this season and it's not nice."
Steve Williams was sent off for the visitors and Lennon celebrated 100 games in charge of Celtic with a victory.
The Northern Irishman said: "I am thrilled for the players,
"We had to contend with a lot of things out there today, including the officials so I am delighted with the win and delighted with the clean sheet."
