Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre says his team weren’t clinical enough against Inverness Caledonian Thistle as the wait for their first SPL home victory continues.
Joe Cardle fired the Pars infront on the stroke of half-time before Nick Ross grabbed an equaliser for the Highlanders.
Andy Kirk and Liam Buchanan were both guilty of missing chances as Dunfermline moved level on points with Hibernian having played two more matches.
McIntyre said: "We created some great scoring opportunities and should have put the game to bed, but we couldn't.
"It was a great chance for Liam. He has scored a few goals for us this season and he knows he should score.
"But the wee man will bounce back from that miss. He was in the right position and will score more than he misses."
McIntyre remains positive about his team’s chances of avoiding relegation this season.
He said: "We played well, especially in the second half. The pitch is difficult and you have to adjust your game sometimes. It didn't make for a great spectacle.
"We scored at a great time. Martin was unlucky with the free-kick and Joe was alert to finish. Unfortunately we couldn't see it out."
