Dundee United have no fresh injury worries for the visit of Kilmarnock in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
However, defender Garry Kenneth remains doubtful with a groin strain, while Danny Swanson is unlikely to make the Tannadice contest after having sugar injections in his troublesome knee.
Scotland Under-21 call-ups Gary Mackay-Steven, Stuart Armstrong and Johnny Russell are all expected to play but long-term crocks Scott Severin (knee) and Felipe Mentel (knee) are out.
United fought out a drab goalless draw with St Mirren last weekend but boss Peter Houston predicts a much livelier encounter against Killie.
Kenny Shiels' side come into the contest on the back of a win over Rangers at Ibrox, so Houston knows they will be brimming with confidence.
"It wasn't the best of games at the weekend. The pitch wasn't great but I hate making excuses," he said.
"We just needed a wee bit more quality but I was still pleased with the boys' work-rate and we will need that again against Killie.
"They are coming into the game on the back of a very good result at Ibrox so will be full of confidence.
"I spoke to Kenny Shiels when I met him at Easter Road on Sunday.
"He was very happy with his team's performance in beating Rangers at the weekend.
"We have always had good games with Killie in the past.
"This will also be tough as they are an attack-minded side who like to get the ball down and play.
"Kenny has done an excellent job. He has come in and developed things a bit in his own way.
"It will be tough but we are really looking forward to it."
Lewis Toshney is doubtful for Kilmarnock.
The right-back is struggling with a calf strain ahead of the clash at Tannadice.
Striker Dieter van Tornhout is set to return from suspension after sitting out Saturday's win over Rangers.
Shiels believes his side must now build on the win at Ibrox.
He said: "In the two games prior to the Rangers game, we drew with Dunfermline and Hearts in two games that we did enough to win.
"We had good energy about us and we are playing well and I feel we have substantiated that now and we are in a position to go to Dundee United with more confidence.
"It's a tough game, we are aware of that, and we will have to be bang on our game to get something from it.
"It's better for us to take points off Dundee United than to take points off Rangers because Rangers are in a different league to us in terms of being uncatchable.
"This is a game where it would be fantastic for us to get something from."
