Queens Park v Clyde: Team news and preview

Queens Park v Clyde preview

Queen's Park can move into second place in the Third Division by defeating visitors Clyde.

And head coach Gardner Speirs has a selection problem of the right kind to deal with as both goalkeeper Neil Parry and defender Paul McGinn are available after suspension.

The duo are added to the squad that defeated Berwick 4-1 on Saturday, with only striker Craig Smith unavailable for the Hampden side.

Speirs said: "It is a nice problem to have especially after a really strong second-half performance against Berwick at the weekend.

"We have not secured a play-off place yet and it would be good to take another step towards that by seeing off Clyde.

"It will be tough as they are a really hard-working side."

Clyde have selection problems for the game.

Captain Paul Hay has picked up a knock and both Brian McQueen and Declan Gallacher were ill at the weekend and all three will be missing as The Bully Wee aim to arrest a run of six successive defeats against Queen's Park.

Jim Duffy's men are already without Jack Sloss, Gavin Brown, Kieran Brannan, Kris Irvine and Daniel Fitzpatrick.

"We will be a bit patched up due to the injuries we have but I am looking for an improvement from some of our previous performances against Queen's Park," said Duffy.

"We competed well against Annan at the weekend where despite being low on numbers we got a draw and that will give us confidence for this game."
