STV understands that Hibs striker Derek Riordan is back under the surveillance of Lokomotiv Moscow and Burnley.
Riordan, scorer of 11 goals for the Easter Road side this season, is being targeted again by two of the sides who tried to sign him in 2007.
Then, Lokomotiv got as far as agreeing a fee for the player during his first spell at Hibs, but Riordan refused to make the move and team-mate Garry O’Connor was left to make the trip on his own.
Riordan went to Celtic but failed to make the impact he had hoped for and was soon back on the market.
Burnley appeared with a £400,000 offer, but were unsuccessful and the forward made his way back to Hibs.
Now both clubs are monitoring the 26-year-old again. Looking ahead to Celtic’s visit on Sunday, Riordan insisted he was happy where he was.
"It doesn't interest me about other clubs - I'm happy as long as I'm playing well and scoring goals for my team.”
