Scottish clubs have received a mixed fate in the draws for the Europa League and Champions League.
Helsingborg stand in the way of Celtic's progress to the Group Stages of the Champions' League, while Hearts and Motherwell face uphill tasks against Liverpool and Levante respectively.
The trip to Sweden will be something of Henrik Larsson pilgrimage for Celtic supporters, with the famous number 7 having spent two spells at Helsingborg, scoring 88 goals in 140 matches.
Larsson's exploits at Helsingborg are so fondly remembered that the club erected a statue in his honour in 2011.
Hearts will face Premiership opposition for the second time in two years, having been drawn against one of the great European sides, Liverpool.
The Gorgie club were humbled 5-0 on aggregate by Tottenham Hotspur last season, and face a similarly testing time against Luis Suarez et al.
Things don't get much easier for Motherwell, who will play Levante of Spain in their Europa League qualifier, who only missed out on a Champions League place by 3 points.
The key dangerman for the Spaniards is Ivorian international Aruna Kone, although they are equally well served by former Liverpool winger Nabil El Zhar.
The Champions League qualifiers will be played on August 21/22 and August 28/29, while Europa League playoff matches will be played on August 23 and 30.
