Manchester United will get their UEFA Champions League campaign underway with a trip to Portugal to face Benfica.
The reigning English champions face a Benfica side that ended last season in 2nd place in last season's Primeira Division.
The fixture has no small amount of history, as the two sides met during the 1968 European Cup final, with United emerging 4-1 victors and claiming the first of their three European Cup wins.
It will be the first time that Alex Ferguson's new look Manchester United side take on European opponents, and they will be hoping to go one better than last year, when they were beaten 3-1 in the final by Barcelona.
The match will be broadcast on the STV website, where you can join in the live chat about the game.
Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United manager: "The opening game is the toughest for us. Benfica are always a handful and we always expect a difficult game. I watched a couple of their games away from home last season and they were absolutely brilliant"
Jorge Jesus, Benfica manager: "We have to approach this game differently in terms of tactics and objectives. United is one of the best in Europe and has top players but we also have them"
