Scottish Premier League clubs will hold their annual general meeting at Hampden as the fall-out from Friday's SFL vote continues.

Representatives from the top flight clubs will discuss a range of issues after the Ibrox club were voted into the Third Division of the Scottish Football League.

Dundee United and Hearts have already expressed their opposition at any moves to create an SPL2 or allow a new company to play in the top flight.

Meanwhile St Mirren chairman Stewart Gilmour warned five teams, including his own club, could go into administration in a matter of weeks.

Earlier this month chairmen rejected an application by the new company, Sevco Scotland Limited, to allow it to inherit the old club's SPL share.

However one SPL chairman told STV not to rule out a reconsideration of that decision, adding: ''We were told SFL 1 would happen. It hasn't."

Another SPL chairman added: ''The situation now is very different to what it was last week''.

Items up for discussion are said to include discovering if there's an alternative to a newco playing in Division Three, feedback from the league's broadcasting partners over their contracts as well as changing the voting structure from the current position of 11-1 to 9-3.

Members are also expected to discuss whether to invite Dundee or Dunfermline into the league.

No new resolutions have been tabled for the meeting but should new proposals be submitted then unless a unanimous approval is given on the day, a notice period would be required to allow clubs to consider how to vote.

Depending on the issue being considered, that notice period could be either 14 or 21 days.

The new SPL season is currently scheduled to start on August 4.
