Aberdeen have announced their intention to appeal against Russell Anderson's red card in the match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Anderson was sent off by referee George Salmond in the 65th minute of the 1-1 draw at the Caledonian Stadium.
The Dons captain was caught out as a through ball found Shane Sutherland who managed to cut across the defender before being brought down.
Aberdeen manager Craig Brown had said that he would study match footage before making a decision about an appeal. He will now ask the Scottish FA to convene a Fast Track Tribunal to consider reversing the first sending off of Anderson's career.
A panel is likely to consider the case on Thursday.
Inverness manager Terry Butcher was scathing about Salmond's performance, having seen one of his own players, Owain Tudur-Jones sent off in the same game. Inverness have yet to confirm if they will appeal his dismissal.
