Stephen Hughes will start a training spell with Aberdeen on Tuesday, the Scottish Premier League club have confirmed.
The midfielder, who left Motherwell after a short-term stay earlier in January, will spend “a couple of days” with Craig Brown’s side.
Hughes is available on a free transfer and is said to have a number of options to continue his career.
The 29-year-old left Norwich City in the summer after two years at Carrow Road, having joined from Motherwell in 2009.
He also had a loan spell with MK Dons towards the end of his career in Norfolk, having also played for Leicester City and Rangers.
