Stephen Hughes has joined Aberdeen on a permanent basis, signing a two-and-a-half year contract.
The midfielder trained with Craig Brown’s side earlier this week, as he looked to secure himself a new club.
Hughes had a short spell with Motherwell up until the end of 2011, having left Norwich City at the start of the season.
He also had a loan spell with MK Dons towards the end of his career in Norfolk, having also played for Leicester City and Rangers.
Hughes goes straight into the Dons squad for their SPL fixture with Dunfermline on Saturday.
