Rangers cruised into the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a comfortable 4-0 win over Paul Sheerin's Arbroath.
Goals from David Healy, Nikica Jelavic, Salim Kerkar and an own goal from Craig Wedderburn proved enough to see Ally McCoist's men beat the Second Division title challengers.
Northern Ireland international Healy had two early chances to give Rangers the lead but he blazed the first over the bar before failing to gte hold of the second effort.
At the other end Josh Falkingham forced Allan McGregor into a save at full stretch as the hosts went on the attack.
However Rangers never looked back after taking the lead after 17 minutes when Kieran McAnespie played David Healy onside and he slipped the ball past Darren Hill.
And it wasn’t long until the visitors doubled their advantage when Nikica Jelavic’s cross from the right was turned into his own net by Craig Wedderburn.
Darren Hill was called upon to make several fine saves to maintain the scoreline going into the interval.
Abroath were beginning to tire and it was no surprise when Nikica Jelavic added a third goal just before the hour mark.
And substitute Salim Kerkar put the icing on the cake by adding a fourth with a volley after 77 minutes.
