Injury-hit Celtic duo Anthony Stokes and Kris Commons will be given every chance to prove their fitness ahead of the side’s Champions League showdown with HJK Helsinki.
The attacking pair were withdrawn from Saturday’s friendly draw with Inter Milan after suffering ankle injuries, casting their availability for the Wednesday tie in doubt.
Manager Neil Lennon confirmed that both Stokes and Commons, who netted a spectacular opening goal against the Italians, had done some light training this morning.
Lennon said: “Both players took part in a light session today and they’ll do another light workout tomorrow.
“A decision will be made on their fitness in the morning. They’ve both got a chance of making it.”
