SPL champions Celtic kick-off the defence of their title against Aberdeen at Parkhead with the traditional unveiling of the League flag.

Neil Lennon’s men are hot favourites to retain their title in addition to their ambitions in European competition.

However it is all to play for elsewhere in the table with last season’s First Division champions Ross County starting their campaign at home to Motherwell.

Dundee mark their return to the top flight by travelling to face Kilmarnock, John McGlynn’s reign as Hearts manager begins against St Johnstone and St Mirren welcome Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
