Celtic may have brought in two strikers in the past three days but Mikael Lustig showed he can finish too after netting his first goal for the club against Hibernian.
The Swedish full-back got clear of his marker and found space just outside the six-yard box to volley Paddy McCourt’s corner past Hibernian keeper Ben Williams after 10 minutes.
Lustig, who joined the club in January from Rosenborg, came close to adding a second only to see James McPake turn the ball into his own net.
However a breakdown in communication between the defender and goalkeeper Fraser Forster allowed Tim Clancy in to score for the Easter Road club in the 2-2 draw.
Lustig has made five appearances for Neil Lennon’s men this season.
