Swindon Town have completed the signings of Celtic pair Paul Caddis and Simon Ferry. The two players have moved to the County Ground for a combined fee of what is believed to be £350,000, both signing three-year contracts.

Ferry and Caddis, who are both 22, were in Swindon over the weekend agreeing personal terms and passed medicals on Monday, before their departure from the SPL club for England’s League One was confirmed.

Swindon boss Danny Wilson will parade his captures at an afternoon press conference on Tuesday, according to the club's official website. The Robins play a friendly against Poole Town on the same day but, whether or not either player takes part, they are both in line to play against Brighton on league duty at the weekend.

Ferry, who will wear the number eight jersey for his new club, spent last season on loan at Swindon, making 45 appearances as they reached the final of the League One play-offs.

He failed to make a competitive appearance for Celtic, taking part in their recent tour of North America but failing to break into the first team.

Right-back Caddis, who made 24 Celtic appearances, will wear six. The Scotland Under-21 international had a brief spell with Dundee United during his development, playing 11 times for the Tannadice club.

FERRY AND CADDIS DEPART FROM CELTIC

It was reported on Friday the deal for the pair could see Celtic receive up to £600,000 in add-ons, which are related to appearances and Swindon's potential promotion to the Championship. It is also understood a sell-on clause has been inserted in the agreement for both players.

Caddis and Ferry's departure take the number of players leaving the Glasgow club this summer to 10. Mark Miller and Jason Marr left on free transfers to Falkirk, Lee Naylor left on a free and is unattached, Zheng Zhi moved to Guangzhou and Koki Mizuno headed home to play for Kashiwa Reysol.

Italian Luca Santonocito then followed in July with a free transfer switch to AC Milan, Stephen McManus transferred to Middlesbrough for £1.5 million and, finally, Artur Boruc departed for Fiorentina in a deal worth £2.4 million.
