Rangers will again host SPL opposition in the Scottish Communities League Cup after being paired with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Ally McCoist's side reached the quarter finals with a win over Motherwell, defeating the then-top flight leaders 2-0.
Last season's defeated finalists Celtic will host St Johnstone, with the Perth club having won their most recent encounter 2-1.
In the other ties, Aberdeen will play host to St Mirren and Hearts will travel to Dundee United, where they recently won 3-0 on SPL duty.
Quarter final ties will be played on Tuesday October 30 or Wednesday October 31.
