Georgios Samaras was the hero for Celtic once again as his goal ensured the reigning SPL champions saw off Hearts 1-0 at Parkhead.
The Greek international netted his fourth goal of the campaign, days after his header gave the Hoops an historic 3-2 Champions League win away to Spartak Moscow.
Samaras, who was handed the captain’s armband after Charlie Mulgrew went off, fired a left-foot shot but substitute Hearts goalkeeper Peter Enckelman.
The 27-year-old previous goals this term have all come in Europe against Spartak, Helsingsborg and HJK Helsinki.
He had hit the post early in the game as the three points took Neil Lennon’s side back to the top of the SPL table.
Celtic are two points ahead of Hibernian having played a game less.
