In an interview in 1972, Jock Stein spoke to STV ahead of Celtic’s European Cup semi-final match against Inter Milan at Parkhead.
Stein had already taken his 1967 champions to Milan and returned with a 0-0 draw, setting his team up for a potential third European Cup final under the legendary boss.
In the interview, Stein talks about the three players - Jimmy Johnstone, Kenny Dalglish and Dixie Deans - who he felt could make a difference for Celtic in the match, while correctly predicting it wouldn't be a high scoring game, given the nature of the football that Italian teams play.
As it transpired, Celtic played out another scoreless draw with the Italians, before taking part in a penalty shootout. Deans missed the opening kick for the Hoops, with the next nine takers all converting their chances to give Inter a 5-4 win.
