Rami Gershon has arrived in Scotland to hold talks over a move to Celtic.
The Israeli defender is currently with Belgian side Standard Liege, but has made just one appearance this season after failing to win back his place after a long-term injury.
Speaking to STV on his arrival at Glasgow Airport, Gershon said he hoped to conclude a deal with the Scottish Premier League leaders on Friday.
STV understands the 24-year-old and his agent, Dudu Dahan, will discuss both the possibility of a permanent or loan transfer to the club.
If he signs, he will be available to be added to the club’s Champions League squad for their last 16 tie with Juventus.
Neil Lennon is permitted to replace up to three players to his 25-man list for the tournament.
Capped 10 times by Israel, Gershon flew from Tel Aviv to Glasgow on Thursday with his agent to meet with Celtic officials.
