Celtic defender Adam Matthews has emerged as a transfer target for two Premier League clubs according to reports.
The Scottish Sun claims the Welsh teenager’s progress is being tracked by Fulham and Everton following an impressive start to the season.
Despite the Hoops’ defensive issues, the 19-year-old has looked assured since joining from Cardiff City in a £200,000 deal this summer.
The Swansea-born player was originally purchased to play right-back but Emilio Izaguirre’s long-term injury saw the 5ft 10in stopper pitched in at left-back.
Matthews, who can play in both full-back positions, is said to have been watched five times by Martin Jol’s side who recently had right back Zdenek Grygera ruled out for six months through injury.
David Moyes is also said to have sent chief scout Robbie Cook to view the player.
