Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that he is not a fan of the transfer window system and finds it tiresome.
With clubs now doing business ahaead of the transfer deadline at the end of January, Celtic have been linked with players both arriving at and departing Parkhead. Lennon said that the limited time available made conducting business difficult.
"I don't like it,” the manager admitted. “I think we should go back to having an open market throughout the season.
"You have to do all your business in a short period of time and it is very difficult to do that at times.”
Lennon added that he didn’t want to lose any of his current squad to other sides and remarked that he was tired of being constantly asked about player movement.
"I get bored with it,” he said.
“I get bored answering the same repetitive questions, speculating on players coming in and going out and I can only reiterate that I don't want to sell any of my players and if I can add one or two to my squad then I will try and do that.
"But January is a difficult time, clubs want to hold onto their better players and negotiations can be difficult. But we are still looking."
