Peter Houston is looking forward to the Dundee derby, and is looking to exorcise the demons of Dundee United's heavy defeat to Dynamo Moscow in the match.
Houston will lead his side to the first derby match in the city since 2005, and knows that it represents an opportunity for the club and the supporters to get over their humbling in Russia.
The city is expecting a sell-out crowd, and Houston admits he too is excited by the occasion.
He said: "I'm very much looking forward to the derby and I think both sets of fans are because the tickets have been sold a week-and-a-half ago.
"Both sets of players excited, we are looking forward to the match and we know we need to work really hard. We're up against a team who are maybe unfortunate to only have one out of six points.
"We're desperate to get the Moscow game out of our system, so it should be a pretty exciting clash."
United go into the game as favourites, but Houston believes that his side must still match their rival's will to win.
"The way we treat a match is we try to win every game that we play in. If we match Dundee for their enthusiasm and effort then I'm hoping the qualities we have and the players we have in the team can be match winners."
