Dundee United's Johnny Russell and Dundee's Stephen O'Donnell have had the red cards they were shown in last weekend's derby downgraded on appeal.
Russell and O'Donnell were sent off by referee Calum Murray in the 70th minute at Tannadice on Sunday.
O’Donnell appeared to react following a late challenge from the Tangerines’ striker, causing a melee, with players from both sides weighing in.
Both Tayside clubs appealed the decision and, at a Scottish FA Fast track tribunal on Thursday, the offences were downgraded from sendings-off for violent conduct to yellow cards for unsporting behaviour.
United manager Peter Houston and Dundee counterpart Barry Smith had both said after the match that they felt that the decisions had been harsh and both managers will now be able to include the key players for their weekend SPL matches.
