Ryan Gauld is on his way to Portugal to discuss a move to Sporting Lisbon after a bid was received for the Dundee United star.
The Portuguese club lodged an offer of £2.2 million plus add ons for the 18-year-old, with the Tannadice club granting the player permission to fly to Lisbon on Tuesday morning to discuss the move.
Gauld has attracted the attention of several European clubs since breaking through at Tannadice last season, scoring eight goals in 38 appearances for Dundee United.
The Tannadice club tied Gauld down to a deal stretching through to the summer of 2017 in December, just a month after he had initially signed a contract until 2016.
The teenager recently thanked Jackie McNamara for placing his faith in the club's youngsters, talking about how the last year had been a steep learning curve for him.
He said: "To be honest I wasn't really expecting to play as many games as I had, but now that I have I'm happy with how I've done. I'm just looking to push on now."
