As clubs continue their search for new recruits during the transfer window, STV has asked a fan from each SPL club to give their own wishlist for the January sales.

Dundee United fan and blogger Stuart Milne, who you can follow on Twitter, gives his opinion on what business manager Peter Houston should be looking at this month.

Which areas of the team does your side need to strengthen?
Right wing. Like last season, we’ve got too many central midfielders and a manager who seems to want to fit square pegs into round holes. We need more width!

Do you see your team doing any business in the transfer window?
Other than Richie Ryan & Scott Allan, who knows? We should definitely look to make a bit of money off some of the players who will be leaving for free in the summer though

Who would be a (semi-realistic!) fantasy signing for your team in January?
Big money signings don’t work at United – they never have. I’d be happy if we signed a couple of promising youngsters from the lower leagues.

Are there any players coming back from injury who "could be like new players" to the squad?
Danny Swanson will be like a new player for about a week and a half before he gets injured again. Sorry Danny but you know it’s true.

Who does your team absolutely have to keep hold of during the January window?
Paul Dixon. Even though he’s probably leaving in the summer for nothing, he’s currently the only player consistently setting up chances. Even if we were offered cash for him, it would be a massive loss to the team.

Who should they be looking to move on?
It won’t happen, but I’d say Willo Flood. He’s probably the 5th choice centre midfielder right now and yet is likely our highest paid player. We want him to do well but his wages could be better spent elsewhere.
