Dundee have agreed a fee with Montrose for the transfer of striker Martin Boyle.
STV understands the 19-year-old, who previously attracted interest from Aberdeen and Kilmarnock, will make the move to the SPL subject to agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
Boyle has scored 27 times in 72 appearances for the Gable Endies, with 22 of those goals coming in 38 games last season.
He has started the new campaign in similar goal scoring form, netting against Inverurie Loco Works and Cowdenbeath in cup competitions, before drawing a blank in the opening Third Division clash with Clyde.
