Dundee welcome back striker Jake Hyde for the visit of Falkirk.
Hyde had been sidelined due to a head injury but is available for manager Barry Smith alongside fellow frontman Graham Bayne, who has recovered from an ankle injury.
The Dark Blues, who are enjoying their best run of results this season with four wins in their last five games, are fully-fit for the tie and Smith is looking for his men to secure a first win in three attempts over the Bairns this term.
He said: "They have beaten us twice but both the games have been incredibly tight. We have dominated parts of both meetings and we have to look to do the same but get the win this time.
"Beating the side in second place would be great for our confidence."
Falkirk midfielder Craig Sibbald continues to be absent, while defender Thomas Scobbie faces a fitness test ahead of kick-off.
The Bairns have been licking their wounds for an extra week following their 3-1 defeat at leaders Ross County a fortnight ago. Falkirk technical director Alex Smith said: "We had been looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible and not having a game due to the Scottish Cup was frustrating.
"This is a similar game to the County one, as we are away from home against a side bang in form, so it will be tough."
