East Fife v Cowdenbeath: team news and preview

East Fife are expected to confirm Gordon Durie's appointment as manager ahead of kick-off against leaders Cowdenbeath.

Durie has problems to contend with as John Ovenstone, Stevie Campbell, David Muir and Paul McQuade are in line to miss out through injury.

However David White is available after a one-game ban.

Durie said: "I am expecting an announcement to be made before kick-off on Saturday in a game that we are really keen to win. They have beaten us three times this season and in the first two games we deserved something from them.

"They have had an excellent season but we have it in us to take something."

Cowdenbeath welcome back defender David Cowan from injury as they look to inflict a fourth defeat of the season on their neighbours.

Player-manager Colin Cameron and defender Thomas O'Brien could start after substitute roles in the 2-0 win over Dumbarton in midweek.

Cameron said: "I am back to having selection headaches of the right kind which is a nice place to be.

"East Fife have made a solid start under Gordon Durie and will be very difficult opponents. It may be a derby game but it is on a pitch that we enjoy playing on, and one where we did well last November when we came from a goal down to win 3-1."
