Elgin vs Peterhead: team news and preview

Elgin will be without on-loan St Johnstone stopper Mark Durnan against Peterhead following his dismissal against Annan at the weekend.

Borough Briggs boss Ross Jack will make changes to his side following the 1-1 draw on a heavy Galabank surface, with Steven Edwards and Ross O'Donoghue looking set to be recalled.

However, Paul Kaczan, Mark Nicolson and Paul Millar are all expected to miss out.

Jack said: "The players gave a lot at the weekend to get us a point away from home so I need to freshen things up for this game.

"Peterhead had been picking up a few wins and they will want another three points after losing to Alloa and drawing with Stranraer in their last two games."

Peterhead goalkeeper Paul Jarvie is a major doubt for the trip after he was substituted in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Stranraer with an elbow injury.

Raymond Jellema will deputise should the shot-stopper not make it, with everyone else in the Balmoor squad available to manager Jim McInally.

The Blue Toon have targeted Elgin in the league table, with McInally saying: "A win would move us closer to them and chasing teams in mid-table is our objective for just now.

"We seem to lack confidence at the start of games so we have to begin as strongly as we've been ending recently. If we can start well in this one we will be a very dangerous side."
