Same again for Accies
Hamilton entertain Annan in the first round of the Scottish Communities League Cup with manager Billy Reid naming the same squad which lost 1-0 to Airdrie last Saturday.
Captain Alex Neil and striker Kieran Millar remain sidelined through injury.
Reid reckons Annan's 1-0 win over Livingston last week has made his job easier and said: "Our younger players may have been thinking that we have a Third Division side at home and therefore we will win but life is not like that.
"After seeing that result they know what Annan are capable of and that turning up and expecting things to happen will not be good enough.
"We passed the ball around really well against Airdrie last week, didn't take our chances and got hit with a bit of a sucker punch so we know we need to score."
Annan make their first trip to New Douglas Park without defender Peter Watson, who is on honeymoon, and midfielder Steven Sloan (holiday).
The Galabank men are travelling with a spring in their step after knocking Accies' First Division rivals Livingston out of the Ramsdens Cup last weekend and manager Harry Cairney knows what they need to do if they are to repeat that success.
He said: "We have to work just as hard we did last weekend and defend as robustly.
"Hamilton will be looking to bounce back after losing their first game of the season against Airdrie so we have to be prepared for a bit of a backlash.
"If we can keep it tight for a long time then we are in a good position to nick it."
