Hearts have received enquiries from Rangers and Bristol City about David Templeton.
No formal bid has been made by either club but Hearts are prepared to part with the winger if their asking price is met.
STV understands a figure of around £500,000 would secure the player’s transfer.
Interest from Rangers in Templeton has been reported in the past but a discussion has now taken place about the player’s availability.
However, Bristol City, now managed by former St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes, have also made an enquiry.
Templeton began his career with Stenhousemuir, making 36 appearances for the Warriors before moving to Tynecastle in January 2007.
After an initial loan spell at Raith Rovers, the Scotland Under-21 international has gone on to make 83 appearances for Hearts.
